Last night I had the pleasure of attending the AICP Show 2012 at Richmond’s landmark Byrd Theater. Go ahead and click on the link to get details of what it’s all about…basically they take the best advertisements throughout the course of the year and select them to be stored in the Museum Of Modern Art (MOMA)…which is a slick way of cataloging humans styles and tastes…contemporary history! I was informed of the AICP Show yesterday while in my Curiousness advertising class at VCU. It was a crazy coincidence, because while I was on the way to campus with my homie Dr. Data he was telling me about some Japanese dude who collects items from pop culture and so I was like “that’s cool, dude over in Japan got that contemporary history on lock”…and then I go to class and the professors tell us about the AICP Show 2012 at the Byrd…free for students…yea, I’m in.
So Data and I went to that jenk and watched ads for over an hour and a half…I definitely kept track of all the joints I really enjoyed and so I’m gonna share them with all you cool people out there. Check it…

Yo what it is, what it do?! So yo…I’ve been fortunate recently to rock at various venues in Richmond, VA…Emilio’s (every LAST Saturday of the month) and Baja Bean Co. (every 2nd Saturday) have been the regular monthly gigs, but this past Friday night I got to melt faces with a plethora of local VA talent from 757 to 804 at Face Melt Friday XII which was put on by Black Liq.
